Waiting...
Look at the looks of anticipation on their faces! When will it begin......what is it going to do? When you visit Disneyland with little ones, sure it's a lot of work, but you also see it through their eyes! All the fun and the magic of Disneyland! The other page is the last one of our breakfast, lots of characters!

The Kids and Disney Characters
When we were at Disneyland (June 2009), we had breakfast with the Disney Characters. This is a great way to see so many of them at once and at the same place. They come by your table and visit with you. It's well worth the cost plus you get to start off your day right! You can wait a bit until you have to have that cotton candy!

4th of July
What a great family holiday! We were only missing Big Rudy this year. We enjoy the fireworks display at Upland High. The kids had a blast....enjoying popcorn, fried chicken, ice cream and those light up things LOL! Upland does a great job with this event! It's much more fun when you have your family with you!

Bath Time Fun
Isabel and Little Rudy enjoying their bath time. This photo was taken at my home during their visit in December of 2008. We have been so lucky that they were able to spend the holidays with us. Lots of water always ended up on the floor and on their mother! I just love that smile on Rudy's face and look at the serious face Isabel has while giving her doll a bath!

Let's Go Home
Our Alaskan Adventure has come to an end! What a great time we had with our friends. We flew, we rode a bus, we cruised and we took a train trip! Another fantastic vacation. We flew out of the Anchorage Airport to Seattle. We spent one night in Seattle, not enough time to do anything other than dinner close to the hotel. I am looking forward to our next big vacation!

Scenes of Talkeetna
A few photos of some of the local downtown scenery. The cabin was an actual cabin that belonged to a group of German bachelors. I know I wouldn't want to live there....or visit LOL back in the day. The flowers in the town (and everywhere we went) were absolutely beautiful! Overall, Talkeetna was just a fun little town to visit with great friends.

Denali National Park
We took a bus from the lodge to the Visitor Center for a short film about Denali National Park and then into the park. Saw some more great scenery, heard stories about the land from an interesting native Alaskan. It was a cold day there.....the bus driver had hot chocolate for us while we listened to the speaker.

That's My Boy
"That's My Boy", Little Rudy! We were having lunch at the House of Blues during our visit to Disneyland. Little Rudy was the only "guy" with all of us girls! We were celebrating his sister's 3rd birthday! He is such a little boy! Loves his cars, climbing on things and playing in the water! I sure do miss this little guy!

Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge
We spent one night at the Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge. In the evening (yes, it's evening though light outside), we headed out to find someplace to have dinner. We were so use to just heading over to our favorite dining spot on the ship! It was nice to do some walking after being on the train for over eight hours.

Onward to Denali!!!
I love how one of the photos shows the shadow of the train! If you look closely at the other photo, there is a moose there! I had to label it because years from now I don't think anyone would be able to figure that out! Ha Ha!!! I do believe that Ron spotted that moose and shouted out to everyone in our car (you were suppose to do that!).

The train ride continues!
Just when we thought we were really making good speed toward Denali, the train came to a stop! And the stop was almost two-hours. It seems that a passenger on the train going towards Whittier, became ill. That train needed to get those passengers to the cruise ship, so they left that passenger with us and we had to wait for the medi-helicopter to come and pick her up! It was becoming a little uncomfortable waiting.....but what could we do? LOL! Anyway, the train crew decided to treat everyone to champagne and cookies!

Beautiful Downtown Talkeetna
Ok, I'm jumping a little out of order here with my Alaskan photos. But, it was bunco night and I needed to do a quick page! Talkeetna was a cute town that we visited when we were staying at the Mt. McKinley Princess Lodge. A day trip. Lots of fun, wait until you see the photos from the pub! We had a great time visiting the shops, walking through their little town and trying the local beers!

Venice Beach, 1957
Growing up I lived in Venice Beach for a little bit. This is a photo of me and Regina around 1957 in front of our home! I love the stories my mother shares about our time there. One of my jobs at the tender age of three, was to make sure my sister Regina stayed away from the canal in our backyard. Take a look at those pants I was wearing.....I know I have some now but I think they're called "cargo pants" LOL!

Train Ride
Like I said, the train was fun and long! And of course, you always fall asleep on long rides. As you can see from the other photo, we weren't the only ones sleeping! Next up will be some shots of the scenery from the train. I better start working on those pages! Should be finished with Alaska later this week!

On the Train
Here we are! Getting ready to set off on an eight-hour train trip to Denali. The windows in the train allowed for great views of the countryside. We were able to play cards, have refreshments and just visit. We had lunch in the dining car on the lower level of the car. On this trip, we flew, cruised and traveled by train! What a great vacation!

End of the Cruise
We disembarked in Whittier, Alaska. The Sapphire Princess provided us with a fantastic experience. When we arrived in Whitter, it was early, a little drizzly and it could have been a sad day but our next leg of our trip was just getting ready to begin! From Whittier, we boarded the train to Denali Wilderness Park!

We had the most wonderful meals on this cruise! The food and the service were outstanding! One night, Roy had not only Beef Wellington but lobster too! What a dining experience!

Melanie and Isabel
I love this photo! I took the girls to have their photo taken together last summer (June/July 2009) and it was so much fun. The photographer and the girls had a lot of fun! They both love having their photos taken. That's a good thing too since I love to have pictures of them! Don't they just look so cute in their matching dresses!!
