Family Traditions

My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving!  I love cooking the meal and sharing it with family and friends!  We had a full house of Jenkins',  Boroquez's,  Gavigan's, Taquino's and of course my mom and Auntie Ro.  I am looking forward to Thanksgiving 2014!  Who wants to come?

Family - A Legacy of Love

Growing up, it seems that we were always getting together with our cousins.  So many wonderful memories were made with my very first friends.  This is titled "Legacy of Love" because I have dedicated  this page to my grandparents.......Amado and Carmen Clavesilla.  Because of them, we are  an awesome bunch of people!  They would be so proud of their children, their grandchildren and their great-granchildren.  I miss them every day!  Ok cousins, it's time to get together again!  

Crockett Boys......Where's Matt?

Summer of 2001 and we were visiting Paula and Bill Crockett in Las Vegas.  We always enjoyed our visits with them.  They are more than just good friends, they are family.  I have known these boys for almost 32-years!  They all use to be shorter than me!  I just can't remember where Matty was on that day.  The only thing that makes me sad when I look at these photos, is that Morgan is no longer with us.  Thank goodness for our photos and our memories.  He will always be there in our lives.  We love all of the Crockett Boys!

Enjoying Time with Åuntie Ro and Uncle Glen

Today was a very sad day in our family. Our favorite uncle, Uncle Glen passed away. He and my Auntie Ro just recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Besides always being their for me, my sisters, brother and all of the cousins, he always made time for my children. He always had a laugh, time to throw them up in the air, fun day trips and lots of love. This is just one of the many great activities, a day trip to San Diego in 1988. You will be missed Uncle Glen but you will always be remembered with much love.

Family Fun at the Firework Show!

Here is the family! It was so much fun to share "our" fireworks with our extended family! My mom, my brother and sister-in-law (Mike and Michelle Gavigan), and my sister Regina. The Jenkins' group has been attending for at least the last 15-years and we love adding new people to the group! The weather always seems to be perfect down on the football field and the chicken always seems to taste better!

Enjoying some time in the pool with family! Nancy really enjoyed it, she said she felt as if she were at a resort. Here are Michael, my sisters Regina and Nancy, myself, Heather and Miguel. I think it's time to plan another family party.....at Heather's!!!!

Family 2004

Oh my gosh....I can't believe that it was only six years ago when these photos were taken! We always have a great time when we're all together. I enjoy hearing the laughter, sharing the stories (old and new) and just the support and love we have for one another. As Nancy would say, "Gavigan's rule"!

It Takes Two Hands to Eat!

It takes two hands for an almost two-year old to eat Thanksgiving Dinner like a big girl at the big table! She is certainly enjoying her meal and visiting with everyone at the dinner table. Whenever she would have dinner with us, she had her spot at the table and no one else could sit there. We all have our "usual" places at the dinner table!

Thanksgiving 2006, Page 1

I love Thanksgiving! I love having all of my family, friends and friends of friends over for a wonderful meal! It's 2006 and this was a special day because Isabel was there to celebrate with us. When we're all together, it truly is a holiday!

Isabel's 1st Thanksgiving

November, 2006. It's Isabel's first Thanksgiving and she's spending it with her extended family. How special it was for my mom (known as Gigi to the great-grandchildren) and my sisters, Nancy and Nancy to share this day with Isabel. Who knows when we will be able to gather as a family at Thanksgiving again.

My Sister's Birthday

Well, I have been going through all of my photos! I do believe that this challenge of mine is going to help me create some layouts with pictures I have had around for a bit! These photos are from my sister Regina's 50th birthday! We had dinner at one of our favorite Mexican restaurants, El Perico. Regina and Brenna couldn't resist the whipped cream from her dessert. Regina's special birthday was the best because her daughter Amanda surprised her! You couldn't ask for a better present! I love Regina and Amanda's happy faces!

Gavigan's!

Here is my latest and it's before midnight! This photo is one of me and my siblings. It was taken in 1961. My sister Regina is standing next to me and my sister Nancy is the baby and the only boy is my brother Michael. We were living South Gate when this was taken. Here's a couple of unknown facts about the picture.......Nancy's dress was really red and Regina and I are sharing a pair of shoes (one each). We couldn't find the other pair!
