Central Coast Winery Visits

Spring break of 2014 found us heading up to one of our favorite spots in California.  We headed up the coast with Ron and Sharon and met up with Brenda and Steve for a few days of visiting and enjoying the great wines of the area.  Thanks to another blogsite, "Scrap our Stash," for the inspiration - designed by Brenda Ragsdale.  I used my Close to My Heart Pathfinding kit and embellishments I know I have had for years!  

Family Traditions

My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving!  I love cooking the meal and sharing it with family and friends!  We had a full house of Jenkins',  Boroquez's,  Gavigan's, Taquino's and of course my mom and Auntie Ro.  I am looking forward to Thanksgiving 2014!  Who wants to come?

Pre-wedding Celebration

Just a few shots of family members hanging out and enjoying the wedding breakfast!  In addition to scrapping a page a day, I am trying to use my stash of papers and embellishments!  So much to do!

HADR Boneyard

Here we are waiting for the tour to begin!   So much more to do in Las Vegas instead of gambling (though that is great fun too!).  Wait until tomorrow !  More neon lights to come!

Walking around the Boneyard, I took many photos.  I thought the letters of our first names would be a cute idea!  These were taken from the Frontier, the Sahara, the Horseshoe and the Dunes Casinos.

 

Cancun - the Last Page

This is the last page of our Cancun memories..  Not the last night but my last page.  This was the first evening of  us all being together, hanging out at the shopping center across from the hotel; enjoying why the evening has to offer!  Another great vacation with a wonderful group of friends!  

Carlos n Charlie - Cancun

It isn't called Party Center because it is a quiet place!  We stopped in for some Happy Hour refreshments and some fun ,  look at the size of the beers and the cucaracha lol!  The servers at this place know how to create some laughs.  Our vacation is winding down and it will be on to new adventures with friends and family.

Señor Frog's - Cancun

We headed into the center of town to enjoy some refreshments and do a little shopping.  The bus ride is almost as much fun as our photo session.   We enjoyed the walk, even when we saw the crocodile warning sign.  We looked and didn't see any.  The closest we got was the frog in this picture.  

Last dinner in Cancun

It was our last evening together and we decided to celebrate at an Italian restaurant  which was located at tne mall across the stret fromthe. Hotel.  What a great decision, the food was very delicious  and of course, the company was the best!  I love being able to share special times with friends and look forward to many more adventures!

Ruins!

It was such an interesting place to visit!  And, like Kathy said yesterday, it was so hot,  We were sweating so much and walking.  Thank goodness for the shady spots,  just remember that you must not miss this spot when you are in Cancun; it is simply amazing!

Chichen itza

When you go to Cancun, you must visit Chichen Itza!  What a amazing place.  We took a tour, leaving from the hotel and I would certainly recommend it.  Great service on the bus, knowledgeable tour guides and overall worth the price of the ticket!  I will be sharing more, so stop by tomorrow !

Page 2 Margaritaville

Just a shot of us enjoying our meal!  Overall, we had a great time even out a margarita or beer!  Hearty laughs, friendly servers, a tasty burger and a motley group of people makes for an enjoyable event!

Enjoying the View

The morning we had our Cuban coffee, this was the view from the deck.  Peaceful in the morning.  We did see boats coming and docking here to get their goods from the liquor store.  We watched an iguana burst out of the bushes to stun his prey.  But most of all, we enjoyed each other's company!

Fun in Cancun continues

This is the companion page to yesterday's posting.  Here we are showing Ron and Sharon enjoying the cold beer.  But I believe that wasn't Sharon's drink of choice but we let her pose with the glass.  Great times in Cancun!

Summer Outing 2004

Summer, 2004 and we are enjoying a little day trip to Pala Casino.  Brenda and Steve Sharp made the visit with us.  One of our stops was to visit the fruit stand for a little refreshment.  This was another fun filled day in our lives!

Jackpot at Pauma Casino!

Every Mother's Day for the past several years, we have been heading to a local casino to celebrate not only Mother's Day but we extend Heather's birthday celebration also!  Living in Southern California puts us in the vicinity of many local Indian casinos and one of my favorites is Pauma Casino!  This was a very special day because I won a jackpot on a nickel video poker machine!!!  Deuces wild!!!   This was in 2011 and besides myself and Heather, Roy and Regina were there too.  We let Roy come because he drives!!!

This is the beginning of the journey for Heather and Alex!  I know it meant a great deal to all of us to be able to share in their special day.

More Cancun Memories

A few more photos of special moments in Cancun!  We do enjoy the time we spend relaxing and having fun with our friends on vacation.  Life is good and I am thankful for it!

Life is Good

One our favorite wineries is Chamisal in the Edna Valley area, near Arroyo Grande.  It is spring break 2013 and it was time for some more tasty wine!  I just love it when the winery pets are out and about visiting with the guests.  Wait until you see my photos from the Lobsterfest , a little later in this year.  We always enjoy our visits to Chamisal!
