Enjoying Life - Little Rudy Style

Rudy's favorite activity at our house is dancing to the Damce Party Wii games!  He is very good and does have his favorites!  This one is done to the song, " Moves like Jagger!"  Here is a warning though, you will have to dance too!

Melanie's 8th birthday, page 2

When it is your birthday party, waiting for your cake and presents is so exciting.  I love the look of anticipation on Melanie's face.  We wre so lucky to be able to share these moments with her.

In an effort to "catch up" with my scrapbooking, I have now completed a page from Melanie's 8th birthday party! We all went to the roller rink for her party,  I even put on a pair of skates and took a couple of turns aroundd the rink!

So, I always see great layouts centered around snow and think "rats, I don't have any snow pictures." Well, thanks to Brenna and the snowy weather of North Carolina, I have finally scrapbook end my grandchildren in snowy weather!  I will be looking for another photo to add to this page, but I love this picture Brenna took.  This is Isabel and Rudy exploring the snow in their backyard!  I am thinking of printing this in black and white.  

Hula at the Reception

My favorite moment of the evening of Heather and Alex's reception was when the Makuas performed to my all time favorite song, "Maunaleo" by Keali'i Reichel!  It is such a beautiful song and these women are beautiful dancers!  I also loved seeing my granddaughters dance with them!  Mahalo!

Birthday celebrations when you are in pre-school are so much fun!  You get to wear a crown, your mother brings special treats and your very first teacher, Mrs. Galvan leads everyone in singing to you!  What a great day!

Family Zoo Trip

It is December 2013, it is winter break,  a beautiful Southern California day, so why not go to the zoo!  We were missing Heather when this was taken but we will catch up with her later.  It was a great day!

Isabel and Rudy - Christmas 2013

I just love this photo of Isabel and Little Rudy!  It's Christmas 2013 and this is the Christmas card Brenna sent to us!  I have to tell you that Brenna made Isabel's dress and Little Rudy's matching tie!  She is awesome!!  I sure do miss them but so excited that they will be moving back to California this coming Spring!  

Exploring the Museum

Rudy loved exploring at the museum. You had to keep moving just to keep up with him! He loved all the freedom to touch and explore. Truly another great experience for Rudy and Papa! I'm glad that Roy was there too because there would be no way I could have been taking the photos and then following our grandchildren.

I love this photo of my grandchildren! It was their first official, professional photo together. Little Rudy was only two-months old at the time. Isabel was not enjoying herself at that moment. Look how Little Rudy is just staring at her. I love how they are so color coordinated! I hope I don't have to wait too long for another "official professional photo" of my favorite grandchildren!

Let's Play Dress-Up

One of Isabel and Melanie's favorite activity is dress-up! They each have quite a few princess outfits! Isabel even brought hers from her home in Hawaii. It was very special to watch them play together and they enjoyed their time with each other. These photos were taken in July of 2009. I wish I could have both of them together every day!

Brenna's Beach Babies

I love these photos of Brenna's babies! Isabel and Rudy are true little beach babies! The one of Isabel in the turtle float was taken at our vacation place on Maui. She was just over a year old and really loved the water. The other two photos were taken at one of my favorite resorts on Oahu, Turtle Bay. See the sand on Little Rudy's head...that was my bad! I put sunscreen on his head and he liked to put sand everywhere! LOL Looking forward to next summer with my family in Hawaii!!

Alligator Alley

Alligator Alley is the first "roller coaster" ride Melanie experienced a few years back. From this beginning she has moved on to Big Thunder Mountain, the Matterhorn and Space Mountain! Do you remember the first time you put your hands into the hair while riding the roller coaster? I still will not do that. You go Melanie!

The Fourth of July is just another reason to have a new outfit! Melanie shared that she needed to have a fireworks outfit to wear. Is that a learned trait? I think it's always a good idea to have a new outfit and accessories for an event! Who's with me on that line of thinking? I think I hear Melanie saying YES!

Hello Baby Rudy!

Our good friends, Ron and Sharon Horacek, just became grandparents for the first time this past weekend. Seeing the photos of their grandson reminded me just how precious and so beautiful newborn babies are. It's been almost three years since my own grandson Rudy was born and it is the most amazing feeling in the world to finally meet your child's child.

Preschool Promotion 2010

Melanie completed her pre-school career in June of 2010. Roy and I were able to attend the activities. What a special day. It was a little sunny and Melanie was squinting in the photo. After school, we all headed out to Tommy's for one of her favorite meals.....chili fries!!!! Great job Melanie! Looking forward to your college graduation!

Winter Hats 2008

It's January 2008 and we were very thrilled to have all of the grandchildren together. It was Little Rudy's first visit to California! Aren't they all just so cute wearing their winter hats! I think they actually enjoyed wearing their hats. Of course Rudy didn't even know he had one on his head! I wonder what they will say when they're older and see this page!

So Proud at Open House

Melanie was so proud to show us her classroom! She had so many projects to share with us. You could really see why she loved going to school. Her classroom was a very nurturing and enjoyable place to be. I hope we will be invited to her kindergarten Open House!
