Look At Me!

While waiting for Uncle Rudy at Camp Pendleton, Melanie was pretending to drive! She was enjoying her time behind the wheel while sitting on Papa's lap. She was two and half years old when these photos were taken.

Boy / Little Rudy

Little Rudy is sometimes called "Boy" by his parents! Makes me think of the old Tarzan movies. Didn't Tarzan call his son "Boy"? Here is a series of Little Rudy! I just love the cool look he has while he's wearing his Woody hat. The Rudys look just like each other wearing their Mr. Potato Head glasses! The top one he is waiting anxiously or is he nervous? He's just like his mother here, with his blanket! And of course, what little boy doesn't like to play in boxes! I'm so glad Brenna sends me photos of my little kiddos!

The Two of Us

This photo of Roy and me was taken at a wedding we attended in May of 2010. I think we look pretty happy or could it be the drinks we had at the reception? We had a great time, Ron and Sharon were also there. We always have fun with them. The groom was the son of one of their co-workers, Mike Zamesnek. Mike's wife, Susan did a fantastic job making sure the wedding and reception were perfect!

A Day at the Pickle Festival

I think it looks like Isabel is really at a Hula Festival instead of the Pickle Festival! It's great that Brenna and Rudy are experiencing the local food festivals around their new home in North Carolina. Brenna did say this was a little disappointing, she was expecting more pickles! I heard the "Ham and Yam" was much better!

They're Not Listening to Me!

Melanie was so upset with her dad and Papa at this moment. She wanted to tell them something but they were engrossed in their own conversations and didn't pay attention to her. She came to me and said, "They're not listening to me". I had to chuckle to myself because of the expression on her face. I grabbed my camera and asked her to give me that look again! I can only imagine the looks she will give her parents when she is a teenager! What a priceless memory this is for me!

Turtle Bay, page 2

This is the second page of the Turtle Bay layout. As you can see, Heather also enjoys grown-up drinks on the beach. It was such a beautiful day! We started out by seeing this amazing rainbow on the way and ended up by having a great lunch at the North Shore......El Cholos. My mother was always in the water! LOL, that's what she likes to do when she is at the beach! Go figure!

Summer Wishes

Ok, it isn't really summer in this photo. It's October and Heather, my mother and I were visiting Brenna and her family. We spent one day at one of my favorite resorts and beach, Turtle Bay. It is just so restful there and I can enjoy my favorite beach activities! Reading and drinking! Somehow, Mai Tai's just taste even better sitting on the beach! So, my "Summer Wish" is to be back on the beach in Hawaii! And wishes do come true since we're going to Maui this summer.

It's time to sing a round of Happy Birthday to Regina! Here are the El Perico Guys lending their voices and wishing a Feliz Cumpleanos to her! Look how Chloe is eyeing that ice cream treat! I'm sure Regina is looking forward to her next "big" birthday!!!

I think Regina's 50th birthday was a blast! Her daughter Amanda was down from Washington (it was a surprise)! All of her siblings, in-laws,nieces and nephews were there to help make it a special event!
