For Heather's wedding reception, she came up with the idea of using succulents in her center pieces. And we were so lucky to have Sharon come over to help us.  She is a great friend and we were able to put these together in a couple of hours!  They were so beautiful on the tables!

Cancun - the Last Page

This is the last page of our Cancun memories..  Not the last night but my last page.  This was the first evening of  us all being together, hanging out at the shopping center across from the hotel; enjoying why the evening has to offer!  Another great vacation with a wonderful group of friends!  

Carlos n Charlie - Cancun

It isn't called Party Center because it is a quiet place!  We stopped in for some Happy Hour refreshments and some fun ,  look at the size of the beers and the cucaracha lol!  The servers at this place know how to create some laughs.  Our vacation is winding down and it will be on to new adventures with friends and family.

Señor Frog's - Cancun

We headed into the center of town to enjoy some refreshments and do a little shopping.  The bus ride is almost as much fun as our photo session.   We enjoyed the walk, even when we saw the crocodile warning sign.  We looked and didn't see any.  The closest we got was the frog in this picture.  

Last dinner in Cancun

It was our last evening together and we decided to celebrate at an Italian restaurant  which was located at tne mall across the stret fromthe. Hotel.  What a great decision, the food was very delicious  and of course, the company was the best!  I love being able to share special times with friends and look forward to many more adventures!

Page 2 Margaritaville

Just a shot of us enjoying our meal!  Overall, we had a great time even out a margarita or beer!  Hearty laughs, friendly servers, a tasty burger and a motley group of people makes for an enjoyable event!

Margaritaville in Cancun

Well, here is a good story; Ron and Sharon have arrived in Cancun and it is time for some dinner.  We hop on the bus and head over to Margaritaville for some burgers and drinks.  Can you imagine our surprise when we find out that no liquor is being served because it is Election Day!  Well, we made the most of it and enjoyed some tasty, cold water!  We stayed long enough to finish our meal and headed back to the hotel (where they could sell liquor).  We did love our balloon hats and wore them back!

This is the companion page to yesterday's posting.  Here we are showing Ron and Sharon enjoying the cold beer.  But I believe that wasn't Sharon's drink of choice but we let her pose with the glass.  Great times in Cancun!

A few more photos of special moments in Cancun!  We do enjoy the time we spend relaxing and having fun with our friends on vacation.  Life is good and I am thankful for it!

Life is Good

One our favorite wineries is Chamisal in the Edna Valley area, near Arroyo Grande.  It is spring break 2013 and it was time for some more tasty wine!  I just love it when the winery pets are out and about visiting with the guests.  Wait until you see my photos from the Lobsterfest , a little later in this year.  We always enjoy our visits to Chamisal!

More Cancun Fun Moments 2013

Just a few more fun moments spent in Cancun with the Horaceks and Carnines.  We are at the Tequila museum, visiting the ruins, watching Ron and Greg swimming in the cenote and just chilling at the resort. Love the memories the bring back to me.  Using the "picture your life" system of scrapbooking you can complete a page pretty quickly.  

Perfect View

This is what I consider a perfect view!  These photos were taken from the balcony of our room in Pismo Beach and yes that seagull was that close!  We thought he wanted to come on in and enjoy a glass of wine! I think I need a magnifying glass, I know that is Ron waving from his balcony and I think that is Brenda Sharp behind him.  Where is Sharon hahah!

Cheers everyone!  We all deserve to enjoy our lives and to live life to the fullest!  These three guys were doing their best to follow Auntie Mame's words of wisdom......"life's a banquet and most poor souls are starving to death!"  You all need to go wine tasting with this crew!

Santa Cruz Mountains

A hidden jewel of a winery is located in the Santa Cruz Mountains, David Bruce winery!  The boys scored a great deal of wine!  We then continued on to make a few more great discoveries.  It was a most enjoyable day,

Kelsey Winery Fun

It is January 23rd and this is my 23rd entry for the month!  I love the photo ops I find on our little trips!  But, most importantly is that I can get everyone to participate (for the most part)!  This is just an example of some of the things we do!  This is a great little winery up near Avila Beach, lovely grounds and just one of the cutest little winery dog on the property too!

Jenkins and Horacek's on the Go

November 2013 - furlough week and Thanksgiving Holiday!  We made the most of it....headed up to Oxnard for trip to one of our favorite wine cellars - Plan B...I will have to tell you the story of how we found that place and one of our new discoveries - Broken Earth in Paso Robles.  It is so much fun to discover new places for wine.   We all enjoy our trips to the many wineries in California......looking forward to discovering more!

The Mona Lisas in Cancun

Ok, it may seem a little cheesy to some but I just have so much fun taking photos in those cut-outs!  And of course, I have friends who are great sports!   I saw the Mona Lisa cut-out at the Italian restaurant and suggested we have our picture taken!!!  So, the start of our last dinner together in Cancun was hilarious!  I think Sharon did the best Mona Lisa look!!!  I love my friends, they like to make me happy!

You've Got to Have Friends!

Yes, it is so important to have friends in your life!   I have quite a few kits that I will be using during this yearly challenge!  This was a great layout theme!  FRIENDS!   Here we are enjoying one of our wine adventures this past November.  At Rancho Ventavo we even helped to decorate for the Christmas season!  Another great adventure with Ron and Sharon!!

A Great Day with the Horaceks

We are so lucky to have so many great friends in our life who have become members of our family!  Our treks to the different wine areas in California are always filled with laughter, good food and great wine!    This is the second page of yesterday's layout and I am always grateful for all the times we spend with loved ones!  Our next adventures are just around the corner!!!
